One of Big J's favorite things to do is make chocolate chip cookies. Not the kind you get from a package. The soft, chewy homemade kind. The problem is she loves to sample the dough. It's almost impossible to keep her fingers out of the bowl. Now she's resorted to stealing the spoon and holding it hostage.
I can't really blame her though. My mom used to let us taste the batter. It was the best part of baking. Tracey wrote about reflections for her best shot. I see myself reflected in my daughter. I love creating memories with her that echo my own childhood.
Hmmm, a cookie sounds good right about now. Yum!!

It should be listed as part of the instructions on every cookie recipe. Cuz it's just not the same without licking the spoon.
I love her wide-eyed innocent look. Nothing says childhood like chocolate chip cookie dough! Such a great capture.
What a great childhood moment... this is very sweet (both literaly and figuratively!) :) We haven't done much baking over here, but I want to do that. Those memories growing up were the best.
Ahh yes, I have memories of eating the batter, too! Such a sweet picture. My girl and I baked today...she wanted to eat the butter. Plain butter. 2 year olds are nutty. :o)
LOL - so very cute and fun - good memories for her to cherish.
MMM, yummy, we need to make cookies again! My little guy always wants taste everything, too! Plain butter, oil, flour, EGGS! I love cooking with him, but at the same time it's a challenge.
Mmmm, I like this shot! Also, I like cookies, maybe I will make some today...
Yum! The dough is the best part of making cookies - I used to just make the dough to eat...somehow I never had any left over to put in the oven!
Great shot - I love her expression!
