Get Out Your Violins

Sorry folks but this is going to be a boring post. I am not feeling well and I am stuck at work. I think I have a urinary tract infection and I am exhausted. Like, new mommy tired. I've been going to bed late and getting up early and it's starting to take a toll. Anyone ever had a UTI? What can I do to get rid of it?

This weather isn't helping. It's been raining in my neck of the woods for the past 4 days. I really hate the rain. It puts such a damper on my mood.

Get thee some antibiotics! They work fast. (Lots and lots of cranberry juice is good, but the old amoxicillin is better.)

Yeah, if it's really an infection, you're gonna have to go to the doctor. But, you can drink a lot of water and cranberry juice to help ease the discomfort until you get in to the doc. btw, cranberry juice sucks, so you might wanna get cran/apple or cran/grape, they work just as well! I prefer cran/grape!! Hope this helps!!

Feel better, my friend. UTI's suck. Cranberry juice, medicine (if necessary) and lots of rest is the only real way to get rid of them.

I hope you feel better soon. It does sound like a UTI, although I've never had one make me that tired before, but everyone's body is different. Whatever is wrong with you, drinking lots of cranberry juice and water will most likely help until you can see a doctor.

if it's a UTI (for me, i had a great urgency to pee all the time when i had it), then definitely anibiotics... they work really well!!! (I'm not a huge fan of meds either, but antibiotics get rid of it fast!) i feel repetitive, but drink lots of fluids to flush it out and yeah, i take craberry tablets (OTC). oh, another tip: urinate after sex (trust me on this one).

Everyone's right about the antibiotics -- it's absolutely necessary. They'll also give you a sort of pain med to make you feel better right away. There's an OTC version called Azo Standard and it works but it only treats the symptoms. You still have to get antibiotics to cure it.

Yup...cranberry juice works wonders...I prefer the cran/grape myself, it tastes much better and works just as well.
