It's my party and I'll cry if I want to ....
Nope, not today. 30 years ago today I was born into this crazy world, with my sister not too far behind. So far it's been a good day. I've got this feeling like something special should happen, but I think it's going to turn out like any other ordinary day.
I'm looking forward to the next ten years. Hopefully they will be years of discovery. I'm really trying to take control of my life and my emotions. No more feeling sorry for myself. I've got to start making things happen instead of waiting.
I hope today is as wonderful for you as it is turning out for me!

I turned 30 this year as well and really welcomed it. So many people asked me if I was turning 29 again and asked me how I felt about turning 30 with such sensitivity that I found it a little bit peculiar. I was so ready to slam the door on my 20's and open up a can of 30's that I opened my arms to it wholeheartedly. For me it represents a passage to true adulthood- a decade of really living your life- rather than finding your idenity (which is how I feel about my 20's.)

I remember what it was like to turn thirty. That was ten years ago. If it's any consolation, I lOVED my thirties. I finally realized about half was through it that I am ACTUALLY an adult! Go figure....
Anyway, there will be much more for you to discover and learn and I hope the next ten years (and more) are full of good things for you.
