Extreme Makeover

Spring is a great time of year to start over, don't you think?

Today is the first day of my extreme makeover. It's been six weeks since I've given birth. My new, beautiful little baby girl is finally settling into a routine and I feel semi-human again. I've been through the ringer these last few months and it's time to start getting my life back.

First up is a physical transformation. I started exercising today. I need to lose 40 pounds!

Next is a spiritual transformation, and I'm not talking about religion. Motherhood has changed me down to the very core and for the longest time I've been feeling sorry for myself. No more! I plan on taking more time for myself to do the things I really love, things that lift my spirit. I also plan to work on my marriage. Things have been tough, but it's time for a change.

So to kick things off I decided to change the look of my blog.

Tomorrow is May 1st - the first day of the rest of my life! (okay so that was a little corny, but cut me some slack, I've been away for awhile.)

Good luck with all of your new transformations. You've motivated me now!

Great goals! I find that I am more depressed when I don't get any exercise during the week.

Yay! I am soooo happy to see you back on your blog! I was wondering how you were doing! So glad to hear that your beautiful newborn is well. And wow, J got so big (I'm looking at the adorbale pic of her with the peace sign)!

I think it's great that you're getting your life back and you're taking the time to do things for YOU... 'cuz it's important!!!!

Happy to hear that all is well. Congratulations on your new baby girl!!!!!

Oh, and don't worry about losing that weight any time soon (I've still got the 30lbs. I gained from my daughter hanging around my midsection -- and that was 3 YEARS AGO!!!). :)
