During Baby's First Year, I Couldn't Live Without ...

First, I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who commented about my post yesterday. It made me feel so warm and fuzzy inside and it's nice to know there are people out there who are going through the same thing. I <3 you all!

Now, if you've been to my blog before, you know I'm obsessed with magazines. A few of my posts have been based on interesting articles I've read. Like this and this.

I came across another one in a new magazine called Wondertime. Women revealed the things they just couldn't live without during baby's first year. So I started wondering about my own newborn necessities.

1. Boppy pillow
2. Baby Einstein
3. Tissues
4. Bouncy seat
5. My mother
6. Lansinoh cream
7. A binky
8. Takeout
9. Baby carrier
10. Tucks

What did you find the most useful in the weeks and months after your little one was born???

Let me think:
most useful...handmade baby wipes, the alcohol was too tough on my baby's skin, Netflix DVDs that I watched in 30 min increments while nursing, lots of wrapped dollar store gifts for the 3 yo. a cordless phone! OMI! I forgot, I got my first one when I had my first kid!
Those Tucks pads. ( yup! ) Only with t1j. thank God!
Umm, a TV tray to kepp all my 'crap' on and keep it close!
Have a SUPER weekend! ( and thank you for referring ppl to me...! )
You rock.

Ditto on the Baby Einstein videos. My daughter is almost four and she still likes to watch them once in a while.

Oh so long ago.....I'm thinking!~...............

Parent Magazine
Disposable diapers
Babysitters galore
Friends
Napping when my babies napped
A good book
A church with a great nursery
Baby monitors
Nursing pads...(which work great after you're done nursing for picking up hair on the bathroom floor...just peel off the sticky thingy....try it!

I'm sure there's so much more...my memory just isn't what it used to be! ENJOY!

I did a baby retrospective a while ago which talked about the best/worst baby items and best advice we'd received. It's amazing how far from that place I am now, with my kids 4 years and nearly 18 months old!

Oh man, I can't remember.

Sleep
Disposable Diapers
Wipes

Husband
Baby magazines and books

Wait am I getting repetitive with the sleep? LOL

Since we're knocking on one year I'd say...

Lansinoh nursing pads
Sleep Sacks
lots of bibs and burp cloths
Baby swing - for those days she just wouldn't nap, which was pretty much everyday for the first 4 months.
Chocolate - for those post-nursing cravings.
Wine - when I wasn't nursing so much.
My Blog!

oh man, it's been so long for me (Austin is now 11yrs). I'd have to say the baby swing and gas drops were the biggest things. Austin lived in his swing. He loved it!!! Oh yeah, and the bouncy seat.

Thanks for sharing
