Living in La La Land

I’d like to thank whoever sprinkled happy dust in my daughter’s oatmeal. She’s been so good for the last few days and I find myself hoping this phase is one that sticks around.

See, I’m not stupid. I said ‘phase’ because I know her days are numbered. Still, I’m actually enjoying motherhood for the first time in a really long while. Let’s all take a minute and mark the date because I’m sure I’ll be eating my words soon enough.

hehe! Ever so sacred the quiet introspective days of a toddler...I personally have not experienced one of those but I hear they are not a myth!

Checking in to say "hey"
found you via CHBM- I can relate to the frustrations of the husband, mine is exactly the same way. Pain in the ass-
Will be reading you regularly now!

After reading your post, I did some questioning and left a comment over at CMHL, but in the off chance you didn't go back to read it, I decided to post it here as well (hope you don't mind).

This I found your daughter's issue quite interesting and asked a Pscychologist I knew about this.

They acknowledged the feeding therapy. The next thing they mentioned was Sensory Integrative Dysfunction, but I read your archives and see you were already aware of that so I will not go into details on that. But this person also questioned whether or not the child has been tested for autism, as Quote Mild Unquote autism (the quote and unquote is the psychologists, not mine, I am just parroting here), is often associated with sensory issues such as food or clothing (as noted by somebody above).

I certainly hope not, but thought I would bring it to your attention anyway.

I hope the phase lasts forever and ever. I love the happy dust, personally. :-)

Oh my goodness, she looks positively angelic. Do you think the Happy Dust Fairy would be willing to visit our house? We could sure use her services.
